Panelist Bios:
Steve Fabiani
Steve has been Executive Director of Academic Computing at La Salle University in Philadelphia since March 2007. Prior to that he served as Director of Classroom Technology Services and Technology Training at University of Pennsylvania for nearly eight years. His undergraduate work was in broadcast communication at Temple University and he also holds a master’s degree in educational technology from St. Joseph’s University.
George Kroner
George oversees Blackboard’s community of developers who create add-ons, plugins, integrations, and customizations for Blackboard’s learning platform to extend its base functionality. His efforts ensure that third-parties receive the support they need to develop educational tools and utilities that can scale successfully to thousands of users. An avid developer himself, he continues to contribute code to open source Blackboard plugins, encourage the development and dissemination of new educational tools, and manage a yearly global professional development program for Blackboard developers.
Julie Meyer, M.S.I.T.
Julie is the Instructional Designer at Penn State Great Valley. She earned a Master of Science Degree in Instructional Technologies from Bloomsburg University’s Institute for Interactive Technologies. Her interests include instructional design, using technology to improve the teaching and learning environments in classrooms, eLearning, social networking, social media, web 2.0 technologies, podcasting/vodcasting, microblogging/blogging, virtual learning environments, digital photography/video, and web design.

We’re going to give away two 8gb iPod nanos at HigherEdCamp Philly tomorrow. Two lucky camp attendees will be drawn at random to take home one of these shiny, new toys.

Nick Floro of Sealworks Interactive Studios will be using a Wii in his camp session. And at the end of the day he’ll be giving that Wii away to a lucky, random camper!
